Writer's are supposed to keep blogs to promote their books. List them on MySpace, YourSpace, OuterSpace, anywhere, everywhere, EVERYWHERE!
Ugh.
Still, for as 'important' as they are touted, the idea of keeping a blog makes me twist with discomfort. I never kept a diary or journal. Even about my books. It's just too...awful. Besides, blogging requires too much attention and god knows, I have enough people and tasks vying for my attention. But, all worthwhile things require attention to bring them to fruition. Which, brings me to the subject of Author Beware.
Fact is, I've reluctantly kept silent about my first disappointing journey with an epublisher, and the second, ridiculous journey I can scarcely believe actually happened. It was a Twilight Zone adventure. I've been following the rule about not openly speaking about a former publisher for fear the next will drop me out of concern I'll do the same to them if I get angry. But there were signs I missed that both these publishers were not doing what they should - until too late, that is. Are you so savvy you'd never make my mistakes? I hope you are. But in case you're not, I developed this blog. I'd like to help others avoid learning the hard way like I did.
